Qualifications: BS in Accounting or equivalent experience

Job Duties: Facilitate all duties associated with faculty grants in the College of Engineering and Computer Sciences. Maintain, monitor and reconcile budgets, and provide monthly reports showing activity and balances for all CECS grants. Request access grant budgets in Banner and request access to run grant summary reports through the online database with MURC. Coordinate all research related travel (making reservations with MURC pcard, processing travel authorizations and expense statements). Place orders with MURC Pcard according to the budgeted amounts specified on the grants. Reconcile MURC pcard according to MURC pcard policies and procedures. Calculate faculty salaries according to the dates requested for PAR and ensure the amounts are allowed by the grant budget. Process all faculty`s overload PARs and abide by the requirements specified by each particular grant.  Calculate the eligible amount faculty are allowed to earn according to College and MU policies. Ensure that faculty are teaching a full load when requesting an overload PAR. Calculate and process a buy-out PAR for faculty that are not teaching a full load but are requesting an overload. Monitor the budgets for the Indirect Cost Recovery Accounts associated with the grants to ensure that the percentage of distributions between College, Department and Faculty are correct while maintaining the budget for each. Track beginning and end dates for all projects and submit budget modifications as required. Prepare monthly expenditure reports and compile final report summaries for the Dean. Enter requisitions and encumbrances as necessary for grant related purchases and invoices.
