The Opportunity

We're looking for an entrepreneurial, hands-on Head of Product to join our leadership team and help drive the next stage of WelcomeWare's growth.

Reporting directly to our President, you'll lead the product function, shape our roadmap, and work closely with Engineering, QA, Sales, and Customer Success to translate customer needs and business opportunities into impactful products.

We're looking for someone who has experienced how a strong product organization operates and can bring proven practices to our growing team without introducing unnecessary bureaucracy.

This is a highly hands-on leadership role. You should be just as comfortable defining product strategy as you are writing requirements, working directly with developers, interviewing customers, and getting features across the finish line.

You'll initially lead product management independently. During your first 4-6 months, the focus will be on learning our platform, owning day-to-day product management, and establishing effective processes. As we scale, you'll have the opportunity to build and lead a small product team, with the expectation of beginning to add team members within your first year, based on business needs and priorities.

What You'll Do

• Lead product strategy and roadmap: Partner with the President to shape product direction, prioritize opportunities, and translate business objectives into an actionable roadmap.
• Drive hands-on product development: Own requirements, user stories, workflow design, and feature development from discovery through launch.
• Partner with Engineering and QA: Clarify requirements, resolve product questions, align priorities, and collaborate throughout development, testing, and releases
• Champion the customer: Lead customer discovery, gather feedback, identify opportunities, and manage our Customer Advisory Board.
• Drive launches and adoption: Ensure internal teams and customers understand and successfully adopt new products and functionality.
• Build scalable product processes: Improve how we evaluate ideas, manage the roadmap, prioritize work, and coordinate across teams.
• Build and lead the product team: Initially serve as a hands-on individual contributor, then recruit, mentor, and manage a small product organization as we grow.
• Measure success: Establish meaningful product metrics and use customer feedback and data to drive continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years of product management experience, ideally within B2B SaaS.
• Experience working in a strong product organization and applying effective product management practices.
• Proven ability to own complex products through discovery, development, launch, and adoption.
• Strong technical aptitude and experience collaborating directly with software engineers.
• Excellent product judgment, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience mentoring or managing product professionals, with the ability to build a high-performing team.
• An entrepreneurial, collaborative, low-ego mindset and willingness to roll up your sleeves.

Nice to have: Experience in healthcare technology, EHR/EMR integrations, workflow automation, enterprise software, or scaling a growing SaaS company.

Location & Compensation

This is a fully remote position open to candidates across the United States. WelcomeWare operates as a distributed team, with offices in Port Chester, NY, and San Diego, CA, available for in-person collaboration as needed.

Compensation: $160,000–$180,000 annual base salary, depending on experience, plus quarterly performance-based bonus and benefits.
