Job Description Job Description Dental AssistantLocation: Long Island East (Suffolk County)Compensation: $20 - 25 per hourPatient Mix: PPO / FFSPractice Type: Multi SpecialtySchedule: Full TimeBenefits Eligibility: Employees regularly scheduled to work 30+ hours per week may be eligible for benefits.About the RoleUnited Dental Corporation is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our growing team in the vibrant Huntington area.We are looking for a dependable, patient-focused professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and is committed to delivering an exceptional patient experience.Specific practice placement will be discussed during the interview process based on experience, schedule preferences, and business needs.Candidates may be considered for multiple practices within the region based on business needs, schedule availability, and clinical fit.What You'll DoAssist the dentist during a variety of treatment proceduresPrepare treatment rooms and instrumentsSterilize and maintain clinical equipmentTake dental radiographs in accordance with state regulationsSupport patient flow and provider efficiencyEducate patients on post-operative and oral hygiene instructionsMaintain accurate patient records and clinical documentationEnsure compliance with infection control and safety protocolsProvide an outstanding patient experience from check-in to check-outRequirementsActive Dental Assistant Certification or RegistrationCurrent CPR/BLS CertificationDental radiology certification (if required by state)Knowledge of infection control and sterilization proceduresStrong communication and patient care skillsAbility to work collaboratively within a team environmentPreferredEFDA Certification (where applicable)Coronal Polishing CertificationSealant CertificationExperience with digital radiographyExperience with dental software and electronic health recordsExperience in PPO, Fee-for-Service, and/or Medicaid environmentsBilingual skills (if applicable to market)BenefitsEmployees regularly scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week may be eligible for:Medical InsuranceDental InsuranceVision Insurance401(k) with 4% Employer MatchPaid HolidaysPaid Time Off (PTO)Continuing Education SupportInsurance benefits begin the 1st of the month following 60 days of employment.
