Job Title: Metal Fabricator (Second Shift)Reporting To: Fabrication Foreman/Lead FabricatorLocation: South Point, OH FacilityPosition SummaryFabricate, lay out, position, align, fit parts and assemble structural metal products such as frameworks or shells for machinery, and metal parts using welders, cutting torches, grinders, brake presses, and other equipment.ResponsibilitiesReview, analyze, and understand engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, sketches, work orders, and material safety data sheets to plan layouts.Plan and sequence operations to maximize production efficiency in terms of time, quality, quantity, resources, and overall costs.Verify conformance of workpieces to specifications using squares, rulers, and measuring tapes; understand weld form symbols; design and construct templates and fixtures.Position, align, fit, and weld material pieces to AWS specifications using MIG welder and pulse process in flat, vertical, horizontal, or overhead positions.Tack structures to meet tolerances and specifications; repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts using cutting torches, straightening presses, and hand tools.Remove high spots and cut bevels using hand files, portable grinders, and cutting torches; bend and straighten metal as needed.Operate MIG welder, shear and break press, punch press, overhead crane, forklift, and hoists to assist in fabrication assembly and movement of materials.Operate grinders, cutting torch, drills, and other hand and power tools; maintain and care for tools and equipment, ensuring proper storage at shift end.Install electrical components in pre‑cut panels and wire as needed; wash, prime, and paint parts for electrical units.Maintain regular and consistent job attendance, arrive on time, and follow IE Core Values and safety program.Work Schedule4–10 hour shifts, 3:00 p.m. – 1:30 a.m., Monday through Thursday.BenefitsCompetitive salaryPTO (Paid Time Off)Paid holidays (10)Medical and dental plansTeladoc 24/7/365 access to U.S. board‑certified doctorsEmployee Assistance ProgramCompany‑paid life insuranceSupplemental vision, life, STD & LTD insurance401(k) company match up to 6% of base salaryHealth Savings Account (HSA) with company match up to $2,000 based on family sizePaid parental leaveRequirementsHigh school diploma or GED, plus 3 years welding fabrication experience or equivalent education and experience.Proficient in MIG welding; able to discern correct welding applications.Knowledge of rigging.Good math skills and ability to read and interpret shop and engineering drawings.Ability to arrive on time for work, meetings, appointments, and other work-related functions.Ability to maintain positive working relationships within the workplace.Capability to stand for prolonged periods, lift/move up to 100 pounds, and perform tasks such as pulling, pushing, reaching, kneeling, crouching, stooping, crawling, and climbing ladders.Proficiency with a wide range of equipment, hand and power tools, overhead crane, forklift, torches, brake shear, power saws, drills, punch press, etc.Good verbal and written communication skills, customer focus, and ability to work as part of a team.Mentoring ability for teammates when appropriate.Ability to climb to and work from elevated platforms, ladders, and walkways.Record of dependability and cooperation in prior work environments.Ability to obtain and maintain current AWS (American Welding Society) certifications as required.DisclaimerAn offer of employment with Intermountain Electronics is conditional upon the successful completion of a background check and drug screen, subject to applicable laws and regulations.Intermountain Electronics, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.#J-18808-Ljbffr
