$75K (depending on experience) Regular, Full‑Time, Exempt. Open Until Filled.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in accounting, business, or related field. CPA preferred.
• 3–5 years nonprofit finance; supervisory experience.
• Strong GAAP, reporting, and audit knowledge.
• Valid driver's license; clean record.
• Strong communication skills.
• Self‑starter; works independently and on a team.
• Pass drug screen and background check.

Position Details

• Oversee SCAC financial operations; ensure compliant receipt, documentation, and disbursement of funds.
• Partner with CEO, program directors, Finance Committee, and auditors; report to CEO.
• Maintain timely financial records for monitoring and audits.
• Coordinate audits; support independent auditors.
• Address audit findings; implement recommendations.
• Ensure accurate program accounting/reporting; GAAP compliance.
• Prepare financial reports.
• Oversee accounting operations, internal controls, and cash flow.
• Post standard and adjusting journal entries.
• Reconcile bank accounts.
• Maintain chart of accounts.
• Support annual budgeting with program leaders and Finance Committee.
• Prepare required monthly/quarterly/final funder reports.
• Update accounting manual as needed.
• Test internal controls for effectiveness, reporting reliability, and compliance.
• Maintain fixed asset and depreciation records.
• Approve A/P vouchers for payment.
• Supervise and train accounting staff.
• Work with limited supervision; set priorities within agency policy.
• Maintain a cell phone with voice/text/email.
• Other related duties as assigned.
