With over 100 offices across the United States, the organization is recognized for its professionalism and commitment to high-quality service.Operational ApproachWhen an individual applies for a life or disability insurance policy, a medical screening is often mandated. This examination is conducted by an independent contractor unaffiliated with the insurance provider. APPS collaborates with insurers to ensure that exams are completed accurately and efficiently.Health Screening ResponsibilitiesAs an independent contractor and examiner, you will perform health screenings at various locations, including the client's residence, workplace, agent's office, or an APPS facility—depending on convenience. Some examinations involve a brief medical history questionnaire similar to those completed during annual physicals.You will document the client's medical history, including illnesses, surgeries, medications, and healthcare providers, along with their contact information. Physical measurements will include height, weight, blood pressure, pulse, and hip-to-waist ratio.Specimen collection typically involves blood and urine samples; occasionally, saliva samples are required. Venipuncture, using a vacutainer (two tubes), is necessary, and strong phlebotomy skills are essential.Additionally, you may perform electrocardiograms (EKGs) with a portable device—training will be provided if required.Post-examination procedures include preparing samples for shipment and completing the necessary documentation. Each screening generally lasts between 15 and 45 minutes, depending on specific requirements.Eligibility Criteria for ExaminersApplicants must meet the following requirements:Successfully pass a background investigationPossess a mobile phone, valid driver's license, dependable transportation, and proof of auto insuranceMaintain a professional appearanceDemonstrate strong phlebotomy skills (mandatory)Have knowledge of human anatomy and medical terminologyBe proficient in the use of computers, printers, and scannersExhibit excellent organizational, communication, and time management skillsAccurately record medical historiesMaintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulationsWork independently and responsibly(Optional) Perform EKGs with training providedPossess effective communication skills to liaise with branch offices, clients, and agentsWork ScheduleAs an independent contractor, you have the flexibility to establish your own schedule.CompensationEarnings are contingent upon your availability and the number of examinations performed.Reimbursements are processed biweekly via direct deposit.#J-18808-Ljbffr
