Job Summary:
Responsible for performing routine and complex clerical, secretarial, and administrative tasks to support departmental operations. Coordinates document flow, manages scheduling, and maintains both paper and electronic records. Prepares and organizes materials for daily activities, including supply procurement and case preparation. Provides information to callers, assists with billing and collections, and ensures timely delivery of support services. Ensures efficient and accurate execution of administrative and operational functions.
Essential Functions:
• Performs clerical and secretarial duties, including word processing, filing, copying, scanning, and document management.
• Utilizes computer applications for database entry, scheduling, reporting, and ordering.
• Greets and directs patients, visitors, physicians, and vendors, and answers telephones professionally.
• Communicates effectively with physicians, staff, departments, and vendors regarding information and supply needs.
• Maintains and monitors office supplies, equipment, and inventory, including creating requisitions and coordinating with Material Management.
• • Assists with orientation and training of new team members and supports daily payroll entry and scheduling.
• Sorts and distributes mail, processes reports, and maintains accurate records in supporting systems.
• Identifies workflow improvements and communicates issues to leadership.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Education Requirement:
High school diploma or equivalent experience
Experience Requirement:
0-2 years of experience in a healthcare, clinical setting, or a relevant area
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
All experience must be paid and in the same related field.
Part-time and PRN experience will be prorated based on hours worked per week.
Volunteer work and internships for academic credit are not counted.
