Your Role
We are on the lookout for a talented Property Claims Field Specialist who excels in managing accident and weather-related claims for homeowners and commercial properties. As the first point of contact, you will support our insureds by clarifying coverage, estimating damages, and providing a seamless claims process experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct on-site inspections and evaluations of property damage for residential and commercial claims.
- Work closely with policyholders, insurance agents, and other stakeholders to gather information and efficiently resolve claims.
- Handle interactions with emotionally affected parties with compassion and professionalism.
- Deliver outstanding customer service throughout the claims journey by promptly addressing inquiries and concerns.
- Document findings and gather evidence, creating detailed reports that enhance the claims process.
- Investigate and adjust personal and commercial property claims with exposures up to $500,000.
- Assess coverage and policy terms to validate claims while ensuring compliance with local regulations.
- Negotiate and settle claims within authorized limits, adhering to policy provisions and industry standards.

This is a flexible remote position requiring in-field work, which allows for virtual work opportunities. Occasional travel outside your assigned area might be necessary to assist other territories. The working hours will be assessed regularly and may adapt based on business needs. Flexibility to work overtime or irregular hours may also be requested.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Property Field Inspection Claim Specialist in the insurance sector, focusing on property claims.
- In-depth knowledge of property insurance policies and claims handling processes.
- Understanding of residential and commercial construction practices.
- Familiarity with local laws and compliance requirements in your area.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to interact effectively with clients and stakeholders.
- Experience managing difficult conversations with a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to assess damages accurately, estimate repair costs, and negotiate settlements.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in claims management software and relevant tools.
- Physical Agility Required: Frequent lifting, carrying, climbing ladders; navigating roofs of varying heights; crawling in tight spaces is necessary.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Experience dealing with complex or high-value claims.
- Background in construction.
- Experience with water mitigation inspections.
- Familiarity with Xactimate and XactContents software.

- Successful candidates must complete all required training, including licensing exams and background checks as mandated by state regulations.
