(Hybrid) Program Manager- Family and Community Development
The Department of Family and Community Development is accepting applications for a Program Manager at West Virginia University Extension Services. This position is responsible for working with a team to plan, implement, and evaluate relationship education programming delivered by WVU Extension through a partnership with the WV Department of Human Services. This role will serve as a central administrative coordinator of statewide efforts led by the Principal Investigator.
What Youll Do
- Program development and planning: Review, maintain, and/or develop program materials as needed for outreach efforts; develop and/or revise program implementation guides for coordinators delivering relationship education across the state; establish and maintain positive collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders; facilitate communication with partners within West Virginia and across the U.S. to support partner planning and development of shared efforts; foster collaboration among stakeholders to align with ongoing initiatives.
- Program coordination: Coordinate regular project team meetings to facilitate communication among Extension faculty/staff; maintain records of program activities, successes, and challenges to inform future program development; support the project team in planning, implementation, and evaluation of relationship education programming (virtually and in-person); facilitate statewide and regional tracking of direct education efforts.
- Program evaluation and reporting: Track and maintain program data to ensure thorough and accurate evaluation; facilitate communication with partners to collect data; organize and maintain surveys, focus group templates, and other documents; work with project teams to analyze evaluation data; develop program reports for internal use and for program partners; support the development of required reports for private and public funders.
- Qualifications and capabilities: Bachelors Degree; minimum of two years of experience in program coordination/management; experience in a higher education setting preferred; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and other standard platforms; equivalent combinations of education and/or experience will be considered; all qualifications must be met by the time of employment.

- Basic computer skills for data input/output, electronic communication, and accessing programming resources.
- Ability to clearly articulate concepts to broad and diverse audiences; ability to keep accurate records and reports for grant management and partnership development; ability to recruit program clientele and resources; ability to work in a team environment; ability to travel independently by automobile as needed; ability to participate in educational programs or professional development that require travel and/or overnight stays.
