Job Summary: The receptionist is responsible for greeting all visitors and callers in an efficient manner and assisting in daily operational functions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Welcomes visitors and calls appropriate personnel to assist visitor.
  • Assists in the mailing of correspondence for fundraising activities, donations and memorials.
  • Opens and assists bookkeeper with incoming mail. Prepares outgoing mail.
  • Coordinates on-call schedules and distributes them to appropriate staff. Fax copy to answering services. Communicates all changes in on-call schedule to answering service at the end of the business day.
  • Transfers phone to answering service.
  • Accepts responsibility for job performance daily by adhering to department and organizational policies and procedures.
  • Articulates and demonstrates professional image daily to employees, patients, and the public.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Type: Regular Full-Time

Expected Hours: 40 per week

Schedule: 8-hour shift, weekdays

Requirements

Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the general public.

  • Must be able to pass a driving records check (upon hire and annually), criminal background check, and drug screens (pre-employment and randoms).

Qualifications and Experience:
  • High school diploma.
  • Five years of experience in a clerical position.
  • Experience in operations of office technology and programs.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must meet physical requirements for position.
  • Must pass in-house physical with good results.
  • Must be able to walk, lift, push/pull, stand, sit, stoop, read, write, and type on keyboard.
  • Must be able to work in an environment with potential for quiet or noise, dust, and electrical hazards.
