The KDMT EMT Basic position involves transferring patients safely to and from private individual s homes, nursing facilities, and hospitals. Responds to emergency call to provide efficient and immediate are to the critically ill and injured, and to transport the patient to a medical facility. DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Transports patients to and from private individual s homes, nursing facilities, and hospitals. Follows instructions from dispatcher/call-taker and safely drives KDMT vehicles to specific locations. Preforms efficient route management and correspondence with dispatch teams, while maintaining privacy of patient information. Overall performance of below indicated essential job duties: Conducts daily vehicles and maintenance inspections prior to beginning route. Ensures vehicles and equipment is clean at all times. Replenishes medical equipment and supplies as needed.
