Revit Technician

We are seeking a Revit Technician to convert point cloud survey data into accurate existing condition drawings and 3D models in Revit. This role involves documenting key building systems, including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing, as well as preparing and quality-checking Revit models, drawings, and deliverables. The technician will collaborate with project teams to ensure consistent application of BIM standards and workflows, prepare clear reports, drawing documentation, and digital project files, and maintain accuracy, precision, and attention to detail in all deliverables. Additional support on other production-related tasks may be required.

Responsibilities
  • Convert point cloud survey data into accurate existing condition drawings and 3D models using Revit.
  • Document key building systems such as electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing.
  • Prepare and quality-check Revit models, drawings, and deliverables.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure consistent application of BIM standards and workflows.
  • Prepare clear reports, drawing documentation, and digital project files.
  • Maintain accuracy, precision, and attention to detail in all deliverables.
  • Support other production-related tasks as assigned.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in Revit and construction document production.
  • Experience producing construction documents for commercial construction projects.
  • Strong drafting, design, and architectural skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Degree in Architecture or related field preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience working with Revit at an architecture firm preferred, but open to less experience.
  • Experience with commercial projects.
Work Environment

This is a temporary position starting in September and running through the end of the year, with the possibility of extension. The role supports projects for a leading firm in the construction, A&E, and site/civil industries, recently awarded nearly 2,000 projects nationwide. The position is on the Reality Capture & BIM team (RCBIM), which is primarily remote due to travel needs for surveying. Initial in-office work is required, with the opportunity for remote work on Mondays and Fridays. The office environment is dynamic, with a focus on site development, A&E, program management, and construction services across multiple sectors including restaurants, grocery, fuel and convenience stores, retail, and government. Approximately 20 individuals form the architecture team in a larger company of over 300 employees.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position starting immediately until the end of the year. The position is based out of Downers Grove, Illinois.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $34.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Downers Grove,IL.
