Job Details

Performs routine and directed grounds and landscape maintenance of University property. Operates vehicles, equipment, and tools common to landscaping and grounds maintenance including snow and ice removal. Removes trash from trash receptacles and polices campus for debris and litter. Performs work associated with event set-up and tear-down. Valid Drivers License is required. Duties: Performs regular and directed grounds and landscape maintenance by mowing lawns with riding or push mowers; trimming and edging around trees, shrubs, ground cover, flowers, sidewalks and buildings; weeding, thinning and cleaning flower beds and other grounds by hand or utilizing proper tools and equipment. Water lawns, shrubs and ornamental gardens as needed. Leaf removal, mulching, spreading of topsoil. Planting and maintaining seasonal plants, flowers, grass, shrubs, bushes, trees, etc. Application of lime, fertilizer, etc. as instructed by Supervisor.
