The Long Products Division, Steel of West Virginia is expanding and adding positions across the Division. There is an immediate opening for a Warehouse Clerk. (4 days on/4 days off)

This position is responsible for receiving and stocking supplies and equipment in storeroom. Includes issuing proper supplies to plant personnel and maintaining accurate records of stock received and issues in a safe and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Candidate must be willing and able to:
  • Understand and operate a computer terminal, windows products including excel, word, and outlook
  • Be trained and licensed to operate a forklift
  • Receive and stock supplies
  • Conduct cycle counts accurately
  • Perform other required duties
  • Maintain high level of organization and housekeeping
  • Perform daily mobile equipment inspections
  • Other duties as assigned

• Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Effectively communicate with plant personnel to identify and pull parts/supplies
  • Interact with vendors to order supplies, track deliveries
• Self-starter with ability to working with minimal supervision and multi-task
• Flexibility to work extra hours and weekends, as needed (vacation coverage for coworkers including swing-shift when necessary)
• Ability to lift and carry loads of 30lb's regularly and safely
• Ability to climb on to mobile equipment, climb ladders, portable stairs

• Basic computer skills and forklift experience
• Safely operate heavy machinery needed
• Knowledge of SAP/Inventory systems
