General Job Description Repairer Classification: Hourly Magnetech Industrial Services, Inc. Subsidiary of IES Infrastructure Solutions, LLC 501 West Eighth Avenue Huntington, West Virginia 25701 Job Summary: Perform repair and fabrication of components for electro-mechanical equipment using manual lathes, shapers, drill presses, grinders as well as electroplating. Must apply knowledge of machining procedures, mechanics, mathematics, metal properties and layout. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Ability to operate mechanical equipment to assemble and repair electric motor components and sub-assemblies. Use of measuring devices, (i.e.: ruler, micrometer, venier, etc.), hand tools and testing devices (i.e.: megger, volt meter, etc.). Read basic prints and and line diagrams (i.e.: lead connections). Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Works under general supervision. Experience, Skills and Experience: High school diploma or its equivalent. May be required to be certified in an area of specialty with 2 - 4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Ability to read/follow verbal work instructions and complete required documents. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
